The second @WePharmacists ’24 hours in pharmacy’ Twitter event takes is taking place on 24th March.

The social media event is a brilliant opportunity to put a spotlight on all the great work that pharmacists from all sectors do for patients every day and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) is urging the profession to get involved.

For 24-hours on the Thursday before Good Friday pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are invited to tweet their activities using the hashtag #pharmacy24. This year you are also invited to share your pictures on Instagram and facebook too, using the #pharmacy24 hash tag.

In support of this year’s event the RPS also wants to capture and record information about the wide range of patient-focused activities pharmacists carry out every day. To do this they are asking professionals to complete this short survey and tell them about key interventions they have undertaken and services they have provided during the last week that had a demonstrable impact on improved patient safety and care. The RPS also want to share these stories and statistics as broadly as possible to illustrate the valuable contribution of pharmacy to the NHS.

So if you are a pharmacist with a patient focused story to share, let the RPS know by completing the survey form.
