Investigations have been carried out following PSNC’s raising of concerns about late or missing supplies of Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) tokens – which also included a suggestion that stocks at Primary Care Support England (PCSE) had been exhausted.

Investigations have also been made into late or non-delivery of drug tariffs.

PCSE has confirmed that there are enough stocks of EPS tokens, although some regional order variations resulted in a backlog. Stocks have been drawn from their distribution centres and community pharmacies should be receiving these shortly. The Department of Health has also confirmed that the maximum order quantities have been increased.

Drug tariffs are delivered by CitySprint and deliveries of the April drug tariff were made by 4th April.

Any pharmacy that has not received April’s drug tariff should email PCSE.enquiries@nhs.net and PCSE will ensure delivery of this, and investigate the reasons for initial non-delivery.
