The National Appeal Panel has upheld the appeal by Lloyds Pharmacy against the NHS Highland Pharmacy Practices Committee’s decision to enable Green+ Healthcare to provide general pharmaceutical services in Dalneigh.

The Pharmacy Practice Committee (PPC) met in November 2015 to consider an application by Green+ Healthcare to open a new pharmacy at 30 Laurel Avenue, Dalneigh and the decision was taken to grant the application.

However, regulations state that any decision made by the PPC may be appealed by the applicant or any of the interested parties. Lloyds Pharmacy appealed against the decision on 22nd December. This appeal has been upheld. The full decision can be viewed here.

The National Appeal Panel has said that a rehearing is not necessary, but the original PPC must meet to consider the issues highlighted, and then issue a revised decision.
