Numark has announced two new courses in its strategic business programme, one in North West England and one in Northern Ireland.

The programme supports and coaches Numark members to develop a robust and effective business plan to help increase their business potential and improve performance.

Yvonne Tuckley, Numark’s Learning and Development Manager, said, ‘Independent pharmacists work incredibly hard in their businesses but sometimes don’t have the time or energy to work on their business. The key principle of the programme is to really focus on getting results. We want to support and coach those who attend to develop robust and effective business planning and leadership skills to help increase both their business potential and improve performance.

‘We start by analysing the external environment, their own pharmacy, what creative opportunities there are, profitability of ventures and then move on to look at their own style, effective leadership skills and managing their team to achieve their goals.’

Numark’s strategic business programme has been approved as an Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) development programme. Delegates attend a programme of four face to face workshops including a two-day residential and are required to complete pre and post-course work activities around their business plan.
