Perrigo Company plc has announced that Neil Lister, Head of Branded Consumer Healthcare’s (Omega Pharma) UK and Ireland Businesses, will head up one leadership team uniting the legacy UK-based Perrigo consumer healthcare and prescription pharmaceutical businesses with the branded consumer healthcare (Omega Pharma) UK organisation.

Speaking about his appointment, Neil commented, ‘I am elated to be taking on this remit and have big ambitions to combine the agile way of working that made Omega Pharma’s UK business so successful, with the might of Perrigo. This will both strengthen each business division that makes up Perrigo UK and facilitate future growth.’

The combined Perrigo UK organisation will employ more than 1,000 people across six different sites and will be the second largest consumer healthcare company in the UK and an OTC powerhouse.

‘Pharmacy and our customers will remain central to each Perrigo business entity and we continue to be committed to ensuring our offering makes a real difference,’ continues Neil.

‘We pride ourselves on understanding the needs of our audience, and our insights, evidence-based approach will be fundamental to all future business decisions. In the short term, we see brands like NiQuitin benefiting from the medical marketing expertise that the partnership brings. While long-term, we can start utilising the Branded Consumer Healthcare European infrastructure to launch other products in Perrigo’s portfolio across a previously untapped geography.’

This move will enable the consolidated leadership team to leverage the corporate scale of Perrigo to add value and efficiency to business operations whilst incorporating the commercial dynamism that has been so pivotal to Omega Pharma’s previous growth.

‘The common thread that binds each business is the recognition that continuous improvement is key to achieving business growth. I believe that by creating a collective language and joint focus, we can accelerate the businesses more rapidly. We will be nurturing this culture in the coming months and look forward to sharing more updates in due course,’ concluded Neil.
