After making a substantial contribution since 2008, Patrick Stubbs has decided to move on from his role as Director of Marketing and Membership at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS). He will work with the society until late June.

Patrick commented, ‘I have enjoyed my nearly eight years with the RPS and it has been rewarding to work with members and colleagues in creating and launching the new professional body and now through the team’s efforts to see the membership growing in a market where many membership bodies are seeing stagnant or shrinking memberships.

‘I am not leaving for another role nor directly to develop my career but to become the main carer for my children and to support my family.’

Helen Gordon, CEO of the RPS, said, ‘Patrick has made a significant contribution to the RPS in its role as a professional body, and his strong leadership and expertise have been essential to our success to date. I wish Patrick well as he steps into a new chapter of his life with his family and would have no hesitation in recommending Patrick for similar roles to the one he has carried out at the society with great success. He will be missed by us all.’

The society will now begin recruiting for a new director.
