The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) in Scotland and NHS Education Scotland (NES) have announced their 2016 joint seminar: One for all and all for one – shaping pharmacy practice for the future.

Taking place in Stirling on 17th March, the seminar will bring together front line practitioners from all settings to share ideas and best practice. It will also explore better ways of working together within the profession to enhance and develop pharmacy services to meet the needs of patients and the public.

The conference will feature a number of stimulating workshops, focusing on the following themes:

  • How to manage caseloads through pharmacist prescribing in different settings
  • Exploring how to improve consistency in clinical practice
  • Allowing delegates to test and develop ideas they can then implement in their workplace
  • Using clinical care bundles to improve care and therapeutic relationships

RPS in Scotland’s Professional Support Lead, Annamarie McGregor, commented, ‘After the success of last year’s joint conference, RPS in Scotland are delighted to continue our partnership with NES. The purpose of the seminar is to support the spread of best and new approaches to practice across Scotland through improved intra-professional partnerships. That’s why we are changing the format for the day to allow time for delegates to work through important areas for the profession and shape the changes they want see.
